صدر كتاب "رحلة الواثق" بجزأيه في عام 2024، وهو من تأليف الكاتبة ومصممة الأزياء العالمية نهاد واثق السامرائي، حيث وثّقت فيه السيرة الإبداعية والمهنية لوالدها، الفنان الرائد والمسرحي واثق عبد الستار السامرائي، المهندس المعماري والكاتب المسرحي، الذي كان أول من أشعل مصباح المسرح في دولة الإمارات، واضعاً بصمته الخالدة في ذاكرة تراث الفن المسرحي العربي والخليجي.

وتنظيم عروض مسرحية مما كان له أثر كبير في نشر الثقافة المسرحية وتعزيزها في إمارات المملكة و صاغ من الأدوار أصواتاً، ومن الفراغات مشهداً متكاملاً.

ابتكر عروضاً مزج فيها الهوية الخليجية الحديثة بنصوص الأدب المسرحي الدرامي، وإلى جانب تأليفه للنصوص المسرحية، كان واثق السامرائي أيضًا مخرجً و ممثل مسرحي و مشرف على الموسيقى، قام بإخراج مسلسلات اذاعية مما أضفى طابعاً فنياً متكاملاً وكذلك بنى المعماري واثق السامرائي أسس العمارة الحضارية. وشرع في مهمة التخطيط المعماري وشارك في بناء المساكن الشعبية. لقد ترك بصمة ابداعية في تاريخ العمارة الحديثة و المسرح الإماراتي العربي ويُعتبر من المؤسسين الأوائل لهذا الفن في المنطقة.

He immediately set out to build the first theater stage in Sharjah and contributed to the theatrical movement in Abu Dhabi and Dubai by helping to establish theater troupes and organize stage performances—efforts that significantly enriched and spread theatrical culture across the Emirates. He shaped roles from silence and wove full scenes from emptiness.
